Mother of 2 accused of killing children

A Mahaut woman is now in police custody in connection with the death of her two children about 3 a.m. this morning.

A source reliably informed that the deceased are aged 7 and less than a year.

The woman reportedly lives in the vicinity of the Mahaut Police Station. She is believed to be in her 20s.

The nature of the childrens' death was not disclosed up to press time. Investigations continue into the matter.

Foul play?

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Laudat man. A resident found Alie Rolle “motionless” in his home at Laudat over the weekend. Police say that a coroner’s inquest and post-mortem will be done to determine the cause of Rolle’s death.
